Full Fibre roadshow visiting Aberdeen

People in Aberdeen are invited to get up to speed with ultrafast Full Fibre broadband – courtesy of Openreach’s new digital roadshow.

The roadshow will be at 2 Deer Road in Aberdeen (AB24 4RW) between 11am-2pm on Wednesday.

Openreach’s specially adapted vehicle is visiting towns and villages across the country during October, sharing information with the public on the fastest, most reliable technology delivering broadband to thousands of homes and businesses across Scotland.

More than 80,000 Aberdeen properties already have access to Openreach’s ultrafast Full Fibre network, including over 25,000 flats and apartments.

However, just 33 per cent of people in Aberdeen who could upgrade to ultrafast broadband have done so, meaning thousands are missing out on more reliable, resilient and future-proof connectivity, with fewer faults; more predictable speeds; and enough capacity to easily meet growing data demands.

The once-in-a-lifetime upgrade means people can connect multiple devices at gigabit-capable speeds and businesses can trade and operate smoothly online, with much less buffering or slowdown at busy times.
