Frequently asked questions

  • What will happen when the engineer arrives on site?

The engineer will attend site to relocate the overhead cable. The’ll assess how the work on site is impacting our network and look to relocate the cable to a new position.

All work is subject to survey and our engineers complete a health and safety assessment before starting work.

For health and safety, engineer’s may be required to drill an anchor point into the brick work of the property to secure ladders. This should be discussed with you prior to the work starting on site.

  • What if the line I want to move is not mine?

If the overhead cable removal/relocation affects a neighbouring property, please make sure the owner is aware and agrees to the work.

While onsite if the engineer is asked to stop work by the premise owner, they will need to stop work until the relevant permissions have been agreed.

  • What if the engineer cannot move or remove the overhead cable?

  • What if the work I need isn't moving an overhead cable?

A survey will be required and charges will apply. Our customer service team will get in contact to discuss your requirements.
