When will I be able to order Full Fibre broadband

Why can my neighbours order Full Fibre but I cannot?

We know it can be frustrating when someone on your street can order Full Fibre, but you can’t. There’s almost always a valid reason why, and it may be just a matter of time before it's available at your address too.

Why this can happen

There are several reasons why availability can differ between neighbouring homes:

  • Network build in phases – Even within the same street, some addresses are connected before others.
  • Engineering challenges – Specialist work may be needed to connect your home, such as digging ducts, replacing poles, or overcoming blocked routes.
  • If you live in a flat or rented property, Openreach needs permission from the landlord or building owner before installation. Let them know in advance to help speed things up - see our wayleaves page for more details.
  • Records still updating – Sometimes our systems show your neighbour as ready before your own address is updated.

What you should do next

Use our Fibre checker to see the latest information for your home.

If Full Fibre isn’t available yet, the checker will show you the best broadband you can order today and whether an upgrade is planned.

Speak to your broadband provider. They can confirm the services available to you and let you know when Full Fibre might be ready.

If the Fibre checker shows that Full Fibre isn’t ready just yet, there’ll be the option to choose ‘Keep me updated’ to be notified as soon as Full Fibre becomes available in your area.

What should I do now?

Contact your service provider. They manage your order or repair and can:

  • Check the status of your appointment and find out what happens next
  • Rebook if necessary
  • Confirm your contact details are correct so you receive updates – check your messages and junk folders in case you've missed anything

Will my home get Full Fibre soon?

If your neighbour can already order Full Fibre, it’s a strong sign that your address could be connected soon. Keep checking our ‘where and when we’re building Full Fibre’ page for updates.
