Fibre broadband Coventry rollout reaches 80% of the city

More than 125,000 homes and businesses in Coventry are now eligible to order Full Fibre broadband, thanks to Openreach’s continued investment in the Midlands.

This means around 80% of properties across the city can now upgrade to the UK’s most reliable broadband technology.

Local people can check availability using Openreach’s fibre checker and order via their preferred broadband provider.

What makes Full Fibre better for homes and businesses?

Full Fibre offers faster, more reliable internet and supports the demands of modern digital life – from streaming, gaming, and video calls to remote work and online learning.

Kasam Hussain, Openreach’s Midlands Regional Director, said:

“Upgrades don’t happen automatically – customers need to place an order. Our network supports a wide range of providers, so people have real choice and great deals.”

Packages are now increasingly affordable, with many customers paying the same or less than before while getting significantly improved performance.

Coventry part of wider regional rollout

The Coventry fibre broadband upgrade is part of Openreach’s wider West Midlands build, where over 825,000 properties are now Full Fibre-ready.

Nationally, Openreach’s Full Fibre network:

  • Reaches 17 million premises
  • Aims to cover 25 million by 2026
  • Has ambitions to reach 30 million by 2030, with supportive investment conditions
