Full Fibre Bannockburn: Broadband Upgrade Now Underway

Thousands of homes set for broadband upgrade Bannockburn

Openreach has started work on a new full fibre broadband build in Bannockburn, giving local residents and businesses access to ultrafast, gigabit-capable internet.

Over 1,700 properties are already ready to connect, with the rollout expected to reach the majority of homes and businesses in the next six months.

This work is part of Openreach’s UK-wide plan to deliver ultrafast Full Fibre to 25 million premises by 2026.

Full Fibre technology provides:

• Greater reliability with fewer faults
• More consistent speeds, even at peak times
• Enough capacity for households and businesses to stream, work, and connect seamlessly

More than half of properties in nearby Stirling are also now eligible for a Full Fibre upgrade.

Community partnerships and balanced build

Openreach is also supporting a Fibre Community Partnership in Gargunnock, helping connect homes not covered by existing commercial plans using Government broadband vouchers.

The build in Bannockburn is being delivered in partnership with Circet, with a focus on minimising disruption during construction.
