We’re bringing Full Fibre - the UK’s most reliable broadband tech - to homes and businesses across the country. It’s helping people learn, work from anywhere, run businesses, and access public services. Ands at its heart, the rollout is a great British success story.

We’ve already made Full Fibre available to over 23 million premises, and we’re on track to reach 25 million by the end of 2026. The UK Government has pledged to make gigabit-capable broadband available to 99% of the country by 2032.

But the job’s not done yet. And the last stretch is the hardest bit.

We don't always think about the network, but we rely on it every day.

The businesses we build, the people we work with, our friends and families, they all depend on the connections that support them.

That's why we've been building a new ultra-reliable full-fibre network

A once in a generation upgrade designed to support jobs, growth and opportunity in every corner of the UK for decades to come.

We've already come a long way, but the job's not done yet.

The government's target is to get gigabit capable broadband to 99% by 2032.

Currently, the coverage for the UK is at 91%.

And the final stretch is the hardest bit.

But it's doable.

We've got the people, the know-how and the determination to finish what we started.

Because this isn't just about building better broadband.

We're sharing and spreading opportunity and delivering choice, value and competition.

It's about connecting the nation and making sure no one is left behind.

From towns and cities to farms and coastal villages.

We're building a network for everyone.

So the question isn't, can we finish it?

It's, will we?

If we want to meet the Government’s goals, we need public policy and regulation to make it easier for everyone to invest—whether that’s private companies or public funds.

That means removing barriers and giving clear, consistent support, so we can build the connections people need, right where they need them.

Bridging the Digital Divide – Together

Every connection matters. But right now, it’s far too hard to build where connectivity matters most.

We can’t reach hundreds of thousands of flats in multi-dwelling units across the UK. Outdated rules mean we need individual permissions from landlords - many of whom are simply uncontactable.

The reality is that tenants and leaseholders have more rights to request a pet than an essential broadband connection. That means people living in flats are missing out, and a digital divide is growing between those who own their home and those who don’t.

We believe as many people as possible should access Full Fibre and we’re committed to making it easier for builders to connect the homes that need it most.

The Government is moving forward with plans to let leaseholders request Full Fibre for their homes. But tenants are left out. And that risks making the digital divide wider.

This gap hits those who need support the most. Independent data shows renters are almost five times more likely to face deprivation than homeowners (24% vs 5%). And in Scotland, there are currently no plans to fix this.

Let’s Finish the Job - Together

Alongside industry, we’re calling on the Government to give network builders the automatic right to upgrade flats in multi-dwelling units. We want every flat and apartment connected to the tech that powers flexible working and access to vital public services.

We’ve made real progress, but there’s more to do. With continued support, we can connect more people to the UK’s most reliable broadband technology.

We’re upgrading 6.7 million rural and hard-to-reach homes to Full Fibre broadband, including homes supported by funding from Project Gigabit. People in remote areas can launch businesses, work from home and book online GP appointments - opening new opportunities everywhere.

Crucially, remote working lets young people stay in their communities, boosting local economies and culture.

That’s why keeping funding and awarding contracts on time matters—so everyone can benefit from Full Fibre broadband.
