This is a great opportunity for you to be part of this incredible network. Network Build Engineering is the Openreach in-house Civils and Poling Organisation, delivering civils and poling works to support building and maintaining the Openreach network.

We’re the largest in-house civils and poling organisation in Europe and stretch the length and breadth of the UK. We do it all through the unrivalled skills and experience of our field and operational support teams and triple emphasis on safety, service and innovation. Work on Openreach’s network must be to agreed safety & quality standards. Full training will be provided, and you will get recognised external qualifications.

Civils teams carry out small civil engineering work in both the highway and customer property. As part of a 2-person team the key purpose of the role is to undertake excavation, duct installation, backfill and reinstatement work to enable service provision.

Poling teams working in teams of 3, they are responsible for installing new poles, replacing old or damaged poles, and responding to emergency situations. The poling tasks will be carried out on public and private property. There will be elements of excavation, backfill and reinstatement as well as a portion of related cabling both copper and fibre.

Criteria requirements are:

Full manual UK driving license with no more than 7 points and not been disqualified from driving within the last 3 years (additional categories preferable e.g. C and C1)

You must be able to identify a full range of colours and read colour codes. This is a safety and quality requirement.
