As an overlay to the existing copper network the focus of GEA Fast Access provided over FTTC will be at sites where communications services already exist and complementing GEA delivered over FTTP.
Product information
Openreach has consulted with CPs with regard to GEA Fast Access over FTTC. A summary of the consultation responses and the revised GEA over FTTC Product Proposal (Issue 1.4) can be downloaded below.
GEA Fast Access over FTTC will initially deliver speeds of up to 40 Mbit/s. The Openreach aim is that both urban and rural areas will be able to benefit from GEA Fast Access over FTTC. Openreach will work with Government, regional and local authorities to ensure that the roll-out is demand driven.
