This section contains information on LLU Repair including Special Fault Investigation (SFI) and Assurance.
LLU circuits will be maintained following the method agreed as part of the Industry Maintenance Code of Practice. There is a three-part spec, each part of which the CP can query. Openreach will conduct tests against each part of these specs. Part 1 uses Line test systems, parts 2 and 3 require co-operation of appropriately trained Field Engineer. Customer fault reports for MPF/SMPF will be placed via LLU Repair or EMP and handled by the Openreach Service Management Centre. See the End to End LLU Repair Process below.
