Ethernet Transfer of Service

The Openreach Ethernet Transfer of Service facility enables a Communications Provider (CP) to request the transfer of one or more Ethernet circuits from another CP to their ownership.

This facility is available in addition to the Novation service. A novation enables a CP to request the transfer of specific product contracts from one legal entity to another, while the Openreach Ethernet Transfer of Service facility enables a CP to request the transfer of one or more Ethernet circuits from another CP to their ownership.

Click on the link below for information about the Openreach Novation service.

Ethernet Transfer of Service

The Ethernet Transfer of Service facility is available for a number of Ethernet products. The customer guide available below details the scope and conditions associated with the service and should be consulted first.

To request a Transfer of Service, the gaining CP must complete a Transfer of Service Requirements Form and send it to their Openreach Sales & Relationship Manager (SRM). This form includes a template for recording the list of circuits to be transferred.

For further information, please contact your Openreach SRM team.
