Openreach

Ethernet

Openreach's Ethernet products offer Communications Providers a wide choice of high bandwidth circuits to extend and build customer data networks across the UK for the delivery of services to their end customers.

Ethernet Access Direct (EAD)

Ethernet Access Direct (EAD) offers permanently connected, point-to-point high speed data circuits that provide a secure and un-contended access service for Communications Providers.

Ethernet Backhaul Direct (EBD)

Ethernet Backhaul Direct (EBD) offers permanently connected, point-to-point high speed data circuits that provide a secure and un-contended backhaul service for Communications Providers.

Bulk Transport Link

The Bulk Transport Link (BTL) product is a high capacity, resilient solution for the delivery of multiple Openreach services from an Openreach Handover Point (OHP) to a Communications Provider's site not located in a BT Local Exchange.

Backhaul Extension Services

Backhaul Extension Services are high speed, point-to-point data circuits. Each one provides a secure link from a customer's premises, to a Communications Provider's Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexer and the Communications Provider's site.

Wholesale Extension Services

Wholesale Extension Services are high speed, point-to-point data circuits. Each one provides a secure link between a Communication's Provider's recognised Point of Presence and their customer's location.

Backhaul Network Services

The Backhaul Network Service (BNS) provides high speed point to point connectivity giving permanently connected un-contended data circuits that will enable operators to provide a link between the Digital Local Exchange (DLE) co-mingling site and Base Station Controller (BSC) sites to their main site via an aggregation point (Hub).

Openreach Network Backhaul Services

Openreach Network Backhaul Services (ONBS) are high speed, point-to-point data circuits that are permanently connected and available 24 hours a day, 365 days per year. They provide secure links between two, same CP, BT 'locate' areas located at BT NGN sites (specifically between a BT MSAN Site at one end and another BT MSAN Site or a BT Metro Node Site at the other end).

Connectivity Services

Connectivity Services is a suite of products offering highly efficient and competitively priced network transport solutions, available to all communications providers. Connectivity Services includes Ethernet Backhaul Direct (EBD), Bulk Transport Link (BTL) and Ethernet Access Direct (EAD).

Broadcast Access

Broadcast Access provides an ideal opportunity for Communications Providers (CP) to explore new business and revenue opportunities providing video broadcast services to end user television, media and production companies.

Street Access

Street Access delivers fixed symmetrical 100Mbit/s transparent Ethernet bandwidth from a BT local exchange to ruggedised terminating units housed in remote street furniture (lamp posts or street cabinets).

Cablelink

The Cablelink product variants are designed to facilitate a connection between equipment installed in a BT operational building to a Communication Provider's network, or to connect equipment installed in different licensed areas within the same BT operational building.

CCTV Access

CCTV Access provides high quality unidirectional video connectivity from a remote Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) camera location to a central CCTV control room. CCTV Access is ideally suited for use in traditional remote surveillance situations and other applications such as connecting to roadside help points, for example, where the camera operator can see and communicate with the person using the service.

Optical Spectrum Services

Optical Spectrum Services provide high bandwidth connectivity for customers who need to move very large volumes of data between sites.
