This portfolio of services allows the end-user (a subscriber) of a number, taking a Publicly Available Telephone Service (PATS) to change their Communications Provider without changing their telephone number. There are four types of portability for the different number types:
- Geographic Number Portability (01 & 02 numbers)
- Non Geographic Number Portability (03, 05, 08 & 09 numbers)
- Mobile Number Portability (07 numbers)
- Personal Number Portability (070 numbers)
Number Portability is managed by BT Wholesale on behalf of BT Group; any Communications Provider wishing to enter into a Number Portability agreement with BT Group should contact their BT Wholesale account manager via http://www.btwholesale.com/
